Disaster is a sudden accident (natural or man-made ) or natural event that causes great damage and loss of life. Riots, Wild Fire, Global Warming, Pollution etc. are disasters. Even Population Explosion is a disaster.
Disaster Management is one of the important ingredients for a Sustainable Future. Disaster Management is about coping up with disaster in spite of difficulties while Mitigation is about lessening the severity of disaster and easing out the impacts.
